Our PINDING® inflames ISPO fireworks
"What a festival that we have inflamed together in the last four days!"
The inventor of the PINDING®, Bambam, in retrospect, about the appearance of B.A.M. and the presentation of his new binding concept PINDING® at this year's, international winter sports fair ISPO in Munich. True enough, after all, it happens rarely that there was little or nothing going on at the booth of LIEBLING and B.A.M.
The doors of the ISPO haven't been opened too long when a bigger crowd already came together at the booth 336 in hall A5. Exactly where the newly developed PINDING® by the Bavarian Alpine Manifest GmbH was presented together with the noble skis and cardigans by LIEBLING. Of course, we calculated curious visits, but that our small team would be consistently clamped on the following days of the fair, we had not expected. And the interest of expert visitors did not seem to tear off. Many of them not only came to examine the optimized prototypes of the PINDING® together with the newly developed heel system concept, but also to clarify the question: Why do we need the PINDING® by B.A.M.?!

Pin up your ride!
With the PINDING® by B.A.M. we present a completely new ski binding concept, that will close the existing gap in the market in terms of safety and downhill performance of ski touring and freeride bindings. The frameless, integrated pin system in the front-piece, the two-stage adjustable risers and and additional attachments for ski crampons ensure high walking comfort on the way to the summit. For skiing the PINDING® is converted into a conventional alpine binding with adjustable DIN setting as well as a lateral release in the front-piece and a vertical release in the heel system. In case of a crash the PINDING® works like an alpine safety binding and will release. Nevertheless, you can put full pressure on the binding, that is transferred directly to the turns thanks to the low platform height and the natural ski flex.
The new binding concept called PINDING® thus combines the safety requirements and performance of a conventional alpine binding with the walking comfort of a frameless pin system. Like "Pin up your ride" - hiking comfortably up the mountain and skiing powerfully and safely down into the valley. That's what it is about.
Functioning of the PINDING®
The technical manager of B.A.M. implements Bambam's idea of the PINDING®. In the following clip, that was filmed by the swedish freeski magazine freeride.se, Bambam explains his new binding concept.
The concept of the heel system
At this year's ISPO B.A.M. presented the newly developed concept of the heel system of the PINDING® to the public for the first time. The technical solution is equally simple and ingenious. It enables that nothing needs to be adjusted on the back construction for ascending. The ski stopper is instead automatically blocked when walking and will release in case of a crash when skiing. For ascending two-stage adjustable risers offer additional walking comfort.
It is our goal to offer an adequate production series of certified PINDINGS® in near future for trade market. Besides great enthusiasm this statement also met with skepticism. Understandable, considering that the optimization of the heel system and the certification of the binding construction for the production stage are still pending. Nevertheless, we are optimistic that we will be able to sell the first certified PINDINGS® commercially.
